Next Steps
Personal development is something I fell in love with many years ago when my daughter was very young. The transformational experience of embracing the journey of my life – the good, the bad and the ugly. Embracing my gifts and callings and embracing my challenges. Embracing my dreams and desires as good and right and perfect. I won’t say it happened in my first 3 day workshop but I will say enough did that it literally changed the trajectory of my life.
What was the experience that has you on the trajectory you are on now?
I think the biggest lesson I learned was learning how to be comfortable being uncomfortable. It was a concept that began to teach me that the challenges and the journey’s which seem hard when you are in them are really the places where you are being called into your next level of development.
My daughter has played an integral role in my personal development. First in learning how to even be a parent and then in becoming the person I am called to be at the same time as she grew and developed who she has become. We just celebrated with Sarah as she graduated with her Bachelors of Animal Science with a minor in Equine Science. She will now begin the next journey of her life, applying to Veterinarian Schools. As she does that, once again our relationship will change and grow in new ways.
Being willing to stay in the game. To learn new things. To do things in new ways is what will ensure that our relationship continues with the same love and respect no matter what comes along. The reason I will do this is because of the clarity I have that our relationship is sacred.
What is the clarity that you have that has you willing to continue to learn, to stay in the game and willing to do things in new ways even though at first they may feel scary or hard and leave you uncertain in the moment?
When I think of this in terms of the work that I do in the world it is the difference that I know I am making as my clients embrace their financial leadership and are then empowered in all areas of their life to move forward with grace and ease and a knowing that things are on track.
The truth is, there is always a next step. Always more to learn and to grow into a new level of personal development. Enjoy the journey!
