Make Tax Time Easier

Make Tax Time Easier

What if tax time could actually be a time of ease?

This is the time of year when the reality of our money management systems comes to light.  This is when we discover if our systems are helpful or not.

There are really only three systems we need to truly have peace of mind when it comes to financial management.  We need to understand our mindset consciously so we are in the driver’s seat. We need systems that work for us; this is not one size fits all.  We need the right support people that make our life work.

So let’s think through tax time with these three areas.

What if you made a game out of learning how to keep more of the money you make?  The strategies are truly endless for this and each of us will require a strategy that is unique to us.  When you take into account where you are today, where you want to get to and by when and how, you can find a strategy that will be a perfect fit for you.  Challenge yourself to look outside the box of status quo. We have all been taught go to school, get a good job and put money in an IRA. What else could there be for you?

Systems are the ways we do things.  We all have them whether we are conscious of them or not.  Most of us adopt the systems that we grew up with or learned through the school of hard knocks.  What if it could be different? What if you could find a system that was actually pleasant to maintain.  It was easy to manage and created the result you need, when you need it! Find a way to manage the paper, assimilate the data and create informative reporting that will give you peace of mind with your finances.

Remember you don’t have to do it all you just need to lead it.

As the leader of your financial life you want to surround yourself with the support that is helpful for you.  Can’t stand paperwork, hire it out. Don’t want to learn accounting software, hire it out. Need some strategy when it comes to tax or investing, find an advisor that truly specializes in your situation.  If you want to learn how to swim you would hire a trainer, a swimming trainer not a baseball trainer. Same is true with money. Want to learn how to invest in real estate, hire someone who knows the real estate game and then make sure your tax advisor is savvy in real estate as well.  Growing a business? Be sure your team understands the world of entrepreneurialism, it makes a difference.

Linda came to us writing a $10K check to the government at the end of every year, keeping her in the red.  By reviewing her numbers and systems we were able to keep more money in her pocket, in fact we increased her bottom line by $81, 482.90 in two year and lowered her tax bill!

So as tax time rolls around it’s the perfect time to look at these three areas and decide if your money management systems are truly supporting you or if it’s time to make some changes.  Money is a tool to support you in creating the life you desire, develop the systems that will truly give you peace of mind!

If you are looking for some support in the process we are here to help!  Make an appointment soon while there is still room in our calendar before tax filing is required.

In Abundance,

Sue
