One of the gifts we received this year was a membership to our local gym. It has been the perfect time of year to begin. We are having a lot of ice and frigid temperatures this year making doing things outside not as much fun.
While at the gym yesterday I was listening to the audio series from the recent summit I hosted “The Mastery of Money- Your Roadmap to Financial Independence Today”. Each interview is so packed with information and inspiration I am once again reminded of how grateful I am for having done this series.
As I was listening to Joetta Johnson she was talking about inspired goals. Joetta finds that a goal, which inspires new action for its achievement is more likely to be achieved with a sense of fulfillment. In other words, when the journey to achievement means we are transformed into a future vision of ourselves, then we end the journey with a sense of gratitude and fulfillment. Without this transformation then it is simply an accomplishment to be checked off and a new accomplishment to be begin.
At this time of year, when we are setting goals for ourselves in business, personally, in our relationships, and with our money – I encourage you to stretch. Set your goals with the picture in mind of who you want to become as a result of having achieved that goal. So often I see we set goals based on what we know today. When there is a stretch there is an acknowledgement that there is more for us to learn. More for us to experience that we are not yet aware of.
This requires us to begin to listen to that very still voice within us – To trust our intuition. To be very aware and mindful of who and what crosses our path. This is being fully present in the moment, taking inspired action. As Joetta says, this is where the magic happens!
I hope you have found this helpful today. That it inspires you to set goals that are a stretch for you!
PS If you know that this is your year to take on your money goals. That this is your year to truly stretch into living the life you know in your heart, then call me and lets see if we are a good fit.
