Becoming Your Own Cash Machine
When you make the decision to go into business for yourself, to become an entrepreneur, you are truly deciding to become your own cash machine. As an entrepreneur we have all heard the saying that the only limit to how much income you can generate is the limit you place on yourself. What I think we fail to realize is just how true that is.
Often I am working with people who are just getting started as an entrepreneur or who have literally just created themselves a job as an entrepreneur and they know that there is more opportunity. What I am finding is the amount of income they believe they can generate is often limited by the most amount of money they have ever been paid by someone else in the past. Either that or they have chosen a number that is so far beyond anything they have ever generated before that it is not even a real number for them.
What happens when you make decisions from this space is you are limited. You will not invest and you will not take new action that is required to create the new money because you really don’t believe it is possible. You are making a decision, as my mother says, “with the shoes you are wearing today”. Those shoes don’t know how to create new money, if they did you would already have it done.
We want to create the money and then invest, we want to learn it all and then take new action. It just doesn’t work that way. First we must commit, first we must invest, first we must take the new step and THEN the new results will come. Then you will become your own unlimited cash machine.
Not believing that you can actually be that cash machine is common when you are just getting started. Not understanding cashflow enough to know what a limitless cash machine means for you when it comes to creating long term sustainable wealth is what I see as the biggest reason people don’t commit.
Learning how to make a decision from the space of where you want to be is a step in personal development. This is why we must commit first.
